In 2017, Griffen & Stevens won a jury acquittal on a first-degree murder case. Our client was being held in jail on a $1 million bond for over two (2) years, awaiting trial. At trial, Griffen & Stevens cross-examined the State’s witnesses, revealing inconsistencies and weaknesses in the State’s case. We called defense witnesses and presented our own defense case. After a substantial, long-fought battle, our client was unanimously found “Not Guilty” by the 12-person jury. For the first time in over two (2) years, our client went home to his family that night.
